3 Common iPhone X Problems And How To Fix Them

Since launching its first device in 2007, Apple has been known to produce similar-looking devices that were phenomenal in performance until the launch of the amazing iPhone X. The
iPhone X was entirely different from all of its predecessors. It was Apple's first device that didn't have the iconic home button and the first to boast an OLED screen.

However, like any other smartphone, iPhone X has some known faults. Here is a list of common iPhone X problems that several users complain about, followed by their fixes.

Problem 1: Battery Draining Too Fast

It's been around four years since the iPhone X was first launched, and one can't expect its battery timing to be quite how it was. However, a dubiously fast-draining battery is an indication of a problem. So if you are facing some serious battery issues, you should look at some solutions.

Possible fixes:

§ Update your iPhone to the latest iOS. These updates include features that allow your device to be more energy-efficient. The same is the case for all the installed apps on your phone.

§ Hard reset your iPhone. You can do this by pressing and holding the volume up and power button together until the Apple logo appears on your phone. This will fix some backend bugged processes that consume your battery.

§ Refresh the background apps by tapping into Settings, then General, and then Background App Refresh. Turn off this setting. This keeps your battery from being consumed by background activities

§ Tap into Setting, then Battery, and then switch to Low Power Mode. You can also check the health of your battery here. Battery health lower than 50% indicates a battery replacement is required.

Problem 2: Performance Stuttering and Slowdown

Since its launch, people who have owned an iPhone X have probably encountered many slowdowns and lags over the years. However, this isn't something new with smartphones in general. Forums like Reddit and Apple support are flooded with such complaints, and most of the time, the reason behind these issues is a weak battery.

Possible fixes:

§ The iOS is programmed to turn on Peak Performance automatically once the battery health drops down to 79%. This reduces or optimizes energy consumption to extend the battery life. However, if this feature is causing serious lags, you can turn it off by tapping into Settings, Battery, Battery Health, and then disabling Peak Performance Capability.

§ The most reliable fix in such a situation is to replace your old battery with a new one. This will enhance your iPhone X's performance so much that you won't even feel you are using the same old device.

Problem 3: Can't update to iOS 14

The iOS 14 is the greatest and latest iOS version. For this reason, almost all iPhone users want to switch to it. However, many iPhone X users have observed few issues with the latest software. Keep in mind that all versions of iPhone X are compatible with iOS 14, and if you can upgrade your iPhone X to iOS 14, the issue is fixable.

Note (iOS 15 launching in November 2021 will only be supported by iPhone XS and later models)

Solutions:

§ The iOS 14 update requires a little over 2 Gigabytes of storage, and if your device doesn't have enough space, you can't download the update. Check and free up space for the update before you download it.

§ Plugin your iPhone to a Charger and then try again,

§ Restart your iPhone and then try again
