How to Stop My Smartphone Battery from Dying

So has this ever happened with you:

You decide to go for a run. Of course, you grab your air pods and your phone. You switch on the Bluetooth, your GPS, and then open the Strava app on your phone.

The app will help you track your run and how many calories you will burn today. Maybe if it is above your goal for the day, you will treat yourself to a nice hot pie tonight. Guilt-free!

Then you decide you need a little music, so you open another app.

Fifteen minutes into your run, you notice your smartphone battery warning light is blinking, and your phone will die.

 What just happened?

You don’t have a choice, so you quit all apps and switch to low battery mode or power save mode, but you are disappointed!

Could it be your battery health? Or is some app draining all your smartphone battery

Or are you starring in the movie ‘The Desperate hour’ and now have to fight the odds of dying batteries.

We charge our phones every night! Dead batteries and not having access to our phones can result in depression in some people, complete with withdrawal symptoms.

So how much energy does your phone need? And more importantly, what can we do to increase our battery usage:

Here are some tips we can use to stretch the interval between charging hours:

 1. Smartphone battery usage when you are not using your phone

Put your phone on the table in front of you and see how many times does it light up or vibrate? Don’t touch it and let it be for a while. You will then notice that the phone lights up quite often. Sometimes it would be from a message. Other times it will be an email in your inbox. You want to know when you get an email. But sometimes, the updates will be from apps you downloaded for shopping giving you alerts on sales.

These are called push notifications, and they, along with background applications you didn’t even know we were running, suck the phone’s battery dry.

 2. Background applications and email downloads

So a lot of times we are using a messenger service and talking to a friend. The friend shares a sale link, and we click on that, which opens up in a browser. The browser link suggests you download the app from the app store, and you end up in another app. In between, you get an email notification, so you decide to quickly check that too.

You are not the only one multitasking. Your phone is too, and the battery is working hard. If you don’t close that program, app, or browser, it is in the background draining your battery.

3. Get your smartphone battery replaced by NWA Phone Repair Service

Every battery lasts a certain number of charges. You can prolong your phone’s battery life by putting it on charge when it is low and taking it out only after it is completely charged. This means you avoid charging your phone battery in bits and intervals.

If your battery’s health is compromised, it may be time to get a new smartphone battery from NWA phone repair services.  We offer professional repairs with a 6-month warranty, so it’s an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
